Portugal - Fatima to Lisbon

The Batalha 'Unfinished Chapel' is actually called the Pantheon of King Duarte and was begun in the early 1400s in the first year of his reign. There are 7 funery chapels which bear the coat of arms and emblems of those interred in those vaults. In the 1500s, a renaissance-style verandah was built over the portal to the Unfinished Chapel.
